Responsibilities: Interns are welcomed into a department with the Business School where they help out in the offices with research, translation, web work, and promotional materials in English. Some students are assigned to a professor and help with class preparation and general research.

Responsibilities:  Each summer, Ozyegin University is the host to 3 University of Michigan students. However, students are not on the campus, they work at companies owned by this private university. Good business knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities:  Considered to be one of the most popular placements over the past two years, University of Michigan students work as English teaching assistants in this private university. 

A fairly large group of UM students are invited to work there at the same time. Summer 2012 saw eight UM students there.

Responsibilities:  Students are employed by Sabançi to work in one of their many subsidiary companies. Work will include preparing presentations, translating documents, analyzing data, data entry etc.

Responsibilities: Work with this start-up company by undertaking the research, development, and marketing of campus coffee trucks selling Fair Trade coffee.

  • Research and consider the most low-cost, effective marketing strategies used in the U.S. to raise awareness about Fair Trade on and off college campuses

  • Collect materials, posters, promotions, and ideas for the development of a campaign in Turkey to discuss with Turkish students and activists.
  • Preferred intern qualities include: a love of coffee, knowledge of coffees, work experience in a coffee bar, ability to operate coffee machinery, great marketing skills, an outgoing personality, ability to reach across cultural divides, and a passion for Fair Trade
  • Interns should be willing to learn some Turkish
