Company: Euromed Ecole de Management
Students worked in the Admissions offices preparing all details related to the arrival and visit of over 1,000 prospective students. Tasks covered all offices duties and travel arrangements as well as one-on-one student orientations and campus visits.
Tours, France
Company: Tours Evévement
Students work for this event planning company in different aspects of back-office preparation, set-up, working the event, and post-event organization. Examples of events from summer 2012 are a Nascar event and Country Music event. During summer 2012 3 UM students worked together in this internship. Housing is not provided, but quite easy to find.
South of France
Company: World Wide Organization of Organic Farms (WOOF)
Volunteers live and work on organic farms in many different areas in France and other French-speaking countries.

Students work as “animateurs” or “animatrices” with a group of 5-60 international children at this school/camp in the Alps. Desirable qualities: love of children, patience, energy, a skill pertaining to the performing or artistic arts, love of sports and the outdoors.

Summer 2011 & summer 2012, 2 UM students were selected to work in the admission and recruiting offices of this prestigious university. HEC is located 40 minutes outside Paris, near Versailles. University dorm housing is included.
Caux, France
Company: La Croix Belle (winery)
Student worked in marketing department of this family-run winery. The intern was also trained to run tasting sessions for visitors to the winery and attended the Bordeaux Wine Expo and part of the representative group from the winery.
Ottawa, Canada
Canadian House of Parliament
Working at the House of Parliament in these cities, shadowing politicians and learning about the inner workings of the Canadian government. These internships are arranged through the Political Science Dept at UM Dearborn. Students completing these program may elect to get French credit for the internship and join the French Internship Program.

Geneva, Switzerland
Company: Soroptomists International
A student worked in the offices of this non-profit company in the heart of Geneva in 2011. She helped with promotional materials, translations, media visibility, and general office tasks. Housing is not included and it is expensive and hard to locate in Geneva.
Pézenas, France

The students worked in the office, helping French and International tourists with enquiries about the town. Interpreting skills are desirable, as well as a friendly demeanor and ability to deal with many types of people patiently.
