Vijay V. Vaitheeswaran is a global correspondent for The Economist, having spent
eight years as the magazine’s Global Environment & Energy Correspondent covering
developments in politics, economics, business, and technology as they relate to energy
issues. He is also the author of ZOOM: The Global Race to Fuel the Car of the Future.

Driving Directions to Rackham:

From CIC (530 S. State) to Rackham Graduate School (Horace H.)
Turn Left (North) onto State Street. Turn Right at the second street, E. Washington. Rackham is the second building on your Left (the one with the green roof!).

From NCIC (2101 Bonisteel) to Rackham Graduate School (Horace H.)
Take Bonisteel South to Fuller. Turn Right on Fuller and stay on it until Fuller deadends at Huron. Turn Right. Turn Left almost immediately onto Fletcher. Turn Right at the first street, E. Washington. Rackham will be on your Right (the building with the green roof!).

Parking suggestions:

There is limited metered parking on Thayer, Washington, and Fletcher streets, as well as two parking structures within a block from Rackham.

To reach the Thayer structure, if heading East on Washington, turn right on Thayer (the first street after the intersection with State) and the structure is on the right. If heading West on Washington, turn left on Thayer (the first street after you pass Rackham).

To reach the Fletcher structure, if heading East on Washington, after passing Rackham the structure will be directly in front of you across Fletcher street. If heading South on Fletcher, the structure will be in the middle of the block on the left.
