Sweetland offers a variety of writing courses for students at all academic levels. Focusing on new media writing, developing writers, and writing pedagogy, our courses cover a variety of topics and serve many students. Explore our course offerings.
Sweetland Minor in Writing
The Minor in Writing is open to U-M undergraduates who wish to develop as writers, both in and beyond their chosen academic discipline. Sweetland Writing Minors refine their writing over a range of courses to gain skills in writing for a variety of audiences and purposes. In the gateway and capstone courses, students create an electronic portfolio (eportfolio) to reflect on their growth as writers, demonstrate their proficiency in visual rhetoric and new media, and showcase their writing abilities.
