All UMBS courses and scholarship involve research.  However, you may wish to pursue your own research that is independent of any scheduled UMBS spring or summer course.

If you are an undergraduate, you may apply for our Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program.  

Graduate students should consider the Biosphere-Atmosphere Research and Training (BART), an NSF-IGERT program.  In addition, graduate students should read about our graduate research funding opportunities.
