Professor Susan Neiman's areas of specialization are Moral and Political Philosophy, and the History of Modern Philosophy. She is the author of Moral Clarity: A Guide for Grown-Up Idealists, chosen as one of the New York Times 100 Notable Books in 2008.

Friday is the main talk, and on Saturday three symposiasts, will comment on Professor Neiman's Tanner Lecture, followed by her response and a panel discussion.
