Timeline: Audit, Graduation, and Commencement

2009
January 1
All course work must be complete for December 2008 graduation period.  
Early January
The Registrar's Office will have conferred degrees posted on transcripts.  A copy of the transcript can be ordered online through Wolverine Access.
Students who were awarded their degree for December 2008 will be notified by mail of their graduation with a degree certification letter.
Mid January
The Registrar's Office will have conferred degrees posted on transcripts.  A copy of the transcript can be ordered online through Wolverine Access.
Early February
Good time to submit concentration and minor release forms for August and December 2009 graduation.

May 2009 Degree Candidates:
Sunday, February 22
All students who have applied online for May 2009 by this date will have their names printed in the Spring 2009 Commencement Guide. 
Degree candidates may continue to apply for May or August graduation after this date, but their name will NOT appear in the commencement guide!
March
December 2008 graduates will start to receive their diplomas in the mail.
April 1
If the diploma has not been received for December 2008 graduates, contact the Office of Transcript, Certification and Diploma Services at 734-764-9206.
April 21 - LAST DAY OF CLASSES - FINAL DEADLINE for students to apply for graduation on Wolverine Access and submit any release forms for graduation.
May 1
All course work must be complete to be eligible for May 2009 graduation.
Saturday, May 2
Spring 2009 Commencement Ceremony held at Michigan Stadium at 10 a.m.
(August graduates are eligible to attend the Spring 2009 Commencement ceremony or Winter 2009 Commencement ceremony.)
