Spotlight on "Student Success 2000" - December 2000
Alison M. Hendricks, is forecasting the weather on U of M T.V. two nights per week. She was recently admitted to the College of Engineering and is pursuing a degree in Atmospheric Oceanic and Space Sciences. Alison is considering a career in meterolology. Sunshine is predicted for everyone.
Regina Frost, May 2000 graduate
Regina was offered a four-year scholarship to Wayne State University School of Medicine. Way to go Regina!
Lisa P. Jones, May 2000 graduate
Lisa earned a B.A. in Sociology and will be attending the University of Illinois, at Chicago. There she will complete a Master of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. She has been a vital part of our Summer Bridge Program serving as a Peer Advisor for the last three years. We will miss her and her contributions to CSP.
Neftara Clark, May 2000 graduate
Neftara earned a B.A. in Organizational Studies and African and African-American Studies. This October she led another successful Walk for Lupus, which raised $20,000 for research to the National Lupus Foundation. Neftara has been an active member of many organizations on campus and has served on The Annual M.L.K. Day Symposium Committee. She also has been recognizied for her outstanding community service, earning Student Leader of the Year, 1999- 2000. Black Folx, an umbrella organization, has named a new Universtiy Scholarship available each year to two black students in Neftara’s honor, who has been diagnosed with Lupus herself.
