Glaciology/Quaternary Geology

The Department of Geological Sciences is searching for an assistant professor with expertise in the response of glaciers and ice sheets to climate change.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, studies of ice dynamics and mass balance; glacial and sub-glacial hydrology; bed characteristics; marine ice sheets; and rates and responses of ice sheets, glaciers, and proglacial landscapes to past climate change.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent research program and contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
