GLS Memorial Scholarship
The Greg Richards, Larry Polatsch and Scott Weingard ("GLS") Memorial Fund was established by friends of Greg, Laurence and Scott to preserve and honor their memories. All three of these unique individuals were tragically lost in the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Although very different people, they each lived life to the fullest and brightened the world for everyone they touched. They shared a common bond through the University of Michigan and were all successful professionals at the Wall Street firm of Cantor Fitzgerald. The objective of the GLS Scholarship is to preserve the memories of Greg, Laurence and Scott by granting scholarships to the University of Michigan in the GLS name for students in need of financial assistance.
The scholarship of $12,500.00 per year will be awarded to one first year student enrolling in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA), and is renewable for three years contingent on satisfactory academic progress.
