How can I prepare for the ECPE?

While there is no set course, syllabus, or prescribed program of English language study to be taken in preparation for the ECPE, preparation materials may be available through your local bookstore. Many different publishers produce study guides for the ECPE. Materials used in preparation for other advanced level English proficiency tests (TOEFL, MELAB) may also be helpful in preparing for the ECPE. However, practice tests alone will not prepare someone for the ECPE. The best preparation is through study and use of the language. Please note that there are free samples of speech on the MICASE Web site, a majority of which are located in the Sound Files On-Line link. Please note that there are no sample examinations of the ECPE at this location. Although ELI-UM endorses no specific title or publisher, below you can find a partial list of some sources for study materials for the ECPE and other tests of ESL proficiency.
