Maximillian Boudreaux- CSP Junior,
Screen Arts and Cultures Concentrator Max is a transfer student from Oakland Community College. He served three years in the U.S. Army, and did one year in Iraq. Max hopes to pursue a career as a Film Director, Writer, and Producer.
(The Department of Screen Arts & Cultures provides students with high quality instruction in the history, theory aesthetics, and technique of moving image media in its historical and emergent forms. The Screen Arts & Cultures major balances studies and production, with studies occupying approximately two-thirds of a student’s coursework and one-third devoted to hands-on projects.)
Alicia Brown, CSP Junior, Political Science Concentrator
Alicia is the newly appointed member of the LS&A Honor Council and the newly elected Educational Affairs Committee Chairperson. During her Sophomore year at U of M she was Operations Director of K-grams, one of the largest service organizations on campus. In her first-year, she served as State President of Business Professionals of American (BPA) for the State of Michigan. After that she started the U of M Chapter of BPA. In Summer 2005 she traveled to Italy to study Roman History. She also interned for a Michigan Senator, Hansen Clarke, and interned as an organizing apprentice for a labor union. Look out Donald Trump!
William Gressman, CSP Senior,
Philosophy Concentrator
William participated in the Global Intercultural Experience for Undergraduates, (GIEU) program in Spring 2005. He is originally from Miami, Florida and was placed in Detroit, for one month of intense cultural immersion. He lived with a Detroit family and worked at Latino Family Services, where he only spoke Spanish. He and his fellow GIEU staff led the children and elderly in various activities such as: games, tutoring, and field trips to area restaurants. During his time at the Latino Family Services he helped: reorganize the library, develop a photo project, and put on a childrens' talent show. There were also intensive weekend retreats where they received training on intercultural immersion. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like a brief language immersion.
