About Deborah Des Jardins Deborah became a lecturer at the English Language Institute in 2005. She is currently teaching undergraduate writing, but she has also taught academic listening and speaking in the summer programs. Before joining the ELI, she taught EFL and legal english courses at the University of Bologna and other educational institutions in Italy for over eleven years. At the University of Bologna, in addition to her teaching responsibilities, she was actively involved in developing experimental CALL software and designing faculty exams. She earned a BA from the University of Michigan and an M.Phil. from the University of Oxford. She also holds an RSA/TEFLA Certificate.
