Why did you choose to attend the University of Michigan?
I chose the University of Michigan because of its many unique and diverse opportunities. I wanted to attend a school which had a balance of an excellent education, a wide variety of extracurricular activities and student organizations, and a diverse community. The University of Michigan provides all of this, and so much more. While making my decision on which university to attend, I felt that UofM went over and above to show me how much they care about my future and about my success in life.

What do you plan to study? Why?
I plan to study in the life sciences field while also taking the pre-medical route because my ultimate goal is to become an Anesthesiologist. I look forward to exploring the many options that the University of Michigan has to offer before settling on a concentration.

What do you hope to receive from your experience at the University of Michigan?
I hope to receive a well-rounded education, lasting friendships with students and faculty, opportunities to perform research and to study abroad, a sense of belonging to a large and diverse community, and knowledge for success in life after. I am very excited to begin my journey as a Wolverine!

Fun Facts: Do you have a unique hobby or talent?
Since I live in a very rural area, hunting has been a lifestyle to me. My father has been taking me on hunting trips since a few days after I was born and has taught me to respect nature by harvesting to keep animal populations low and healthy. As I grew up I learned the importance in his words and adopted hunting as a passion of mine as well. My greatest accomplishment was hunting a black bear in the fall of 2005. It was an experience I will never forget and I plan to one day bring my children "back to the woods" to show them the joy of nature that my father once showed me.
