About Melinda Matice

Melinda has been working for both the teaching and testing divisions since she came to the ELI in the fall of 2001. She is an instructor of speaking, writing, and pronunciation courses for both students and visiting scholars as well as an instructor for a teacher training class in the ESL endorsement program offered at the ELI in collaboration with the School of Education. Additionally, she does research on oral communications skills for tests offered by the testing division to both ESL and EFL learners, and she coordinates the speaking test component of the AEE. Before her move to Ann Arbor, she had been teaching ESL in San Francisco for 12 years, dividing her work between teaching ESL for business and academic purposes.
