Migrant ESL Resource Booklet

The Migrant ESL Resource Booklet is intended to be a bilingual resource for teachers and tutors of English as a second language to migrant farmworkers in the USA and especially in southeastern Michigan. The lesson plans were selected from among our most successful topics and activities; it is not a student book per se, but many pages can be used directly with students. It was made in 2003 with funding from the University of Michigan English Language Institute, the University of Michigan Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, a Michigan Campus Compact Community Engagement Grant, and support from the Lenawee Intermediate School District. Many of the appendices are from the bilingual calendar put out by Farmworker Legal Services in Bangor, Michigan. All materials are free for the public to download and can be reproduced without our permission. If you have any suggestions for correction or improvement, please contact Mabel Rodriguez at mrodri@umich.edu.
