Keep up the good work Alex and thank you for sharing your success with us.
Chisaokwu Duru, CSP Junior
Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Science
Chisa won first place in our annual CSP-Kaplan Scholarship Essay contest. The winner earns a free Kaplan preparation course. Chisa will use her prize to prep for the MCAT.
Here is an excerpt from her winning essay.
"Because I have seen the horrendous medical misfortunes that poverty brings, I want to get my medical degree so that I can improve medical conditions for individuals living in poverty. When I become a doctor, I will establish a “teaching hospital” in Nigeria that will serve the uninsured and the underinsured. Not only will individuals receive treatment at the hospital, but future health care workers will also learn the basics to serve their communities. First Aid will especially be emphasized because, had it been taught in Nigeria, my uncle would be alive now."
Congratulations to Chisa on her winning essay!
