Bio: This summer, as a way to fight back against my broke-college-student-state, I worked with children way too much, and consequently never want to see another one in my life. The highlight of my summer was undoubtedly also one of the highlights of my life—seeing Paul McCartney play the first concert ever at the new Citi Field, just as The Beatles played the first concert ever at Shea Stadium in 1965. Speaking of New York-related things, I’m one of the only SA’s who does not permanently live in Michigan, so if you’re a fellow out-of-stater and don’t understand the incessant use of hand-pointing during introductions, you are not alone--come find me. But be aware every Sunday during football season I’ll be busy banging my head against a wall for three hours while watching the New York Jets. Some quick facts about me—my favorite book is A Tale of Two Cities, my number one need-to-have accessory is a pair of oversized sunglasses, I’ve been told multiple times I was born in the wrong decade, I don’t eat animals with 4 legs, and if tracks #14-16 on Abbey Road all count as one song (which they absolutely should), then I consider that the greatest song of all time. I don’t really know what I want to do with my life; I’ve always been on the journalism track, but I’m pretty good at taking everything as it comes, so I’ll just stick to that philosophy. Right now I’m thinking being a writer for Rolling Stone would be pretty sweet. If you ever need to chill and de-stress, you are always welcome to come to my room and listen to music with me—The Beatles, Bob Dylan, or The Rolling Stones will always be playing.
