Stevens
Robin Stevens joined the Testing and Certification Division of the English Language Institute at the University of Michigan in March 2008. She has worked in the field of language assessment for 15 years. As a research associate at the University of California at Los Angeles’s Center for the Study of Evaluation/CRESST, her work focused on the operationalization of academic English and the standardized test performance of English learners at the K-12 level. She is the former assistant vice president of assessment materials at Ballard & Tighe, Publishers, has taught English to adults and children in Asia, and freelanced on a variety of English language assessments. She received her M.A. in TESOL at the Monterey Institute of International Studies and was a Fulbright scholar to Taiwan in 2002 while working on her M.A. in Asian Studies from California State University in Long Beach.
