So we can notify you as soon as possible, it is extremely important that the vendor lists your name on the package. If we cannot find a name, we will then open the box, if necessary, for a packing slip to see if there is more information. Our last resort is to call the vendor.

Outgoing DHL and FedEx Packages
If you require DHL or FedEx to pick up a package, pleasecall or use their website to schedule it at 1425 Randall.  When arranging a pickup, remember to tell them to be here before 4:00 p.m. since that is our closing time.

UPS comes by twice a day, so there is no need to schedule a pickup, but please bring packages to Room 1425 no later than 3:30 for same-day pickup.

Notification that a package has arrived
If you will be out of e-mail contact and want someone else to pick up your packages, please let us know in advance. You can reach us via phone or e-mail at 763-4646 or phys-packages@umich.edu . Or, you can always stop by and tell your friendly staff in the Package Room whom to notify in your absence.

Cylinder Pickup
Cylinders are checked in to the package system and need to be signed out and taken from the loading dock (Room 1405) in a timely manner.

Freight Deliveries
If you will be receiving a delivery that is larger and requires special unloading procedures, please make us aware of this ahead of time. If a forklift is needed for your delivery, it is more convenient to be prepared for its arrival.
