Remi Alli Wins SBP Essay Contest

A total of 124 students attended Summer Bridge 2002. One of the highlights of Summer Bridge was the announcement of winners of the Summer Bridge Program Essay Contest.

This year’s Essay Contest winner was Remi Alli. Remi attended Unversity Liggett High School in Grosse Pointe, MI. Her favorite subjects are English and Spanish, although she plans to major in Political Science while at Michigan. Her career goal is to become a lawyer.

Remi’s winning essay discussed the value of a diverse student body in higher education based on her experiences in Summer Bridge. The following students also were recognized for winning entries to the 2002 SBP Essay Contest: 1st place - Remi Alli
