A panel of distinguished economists will discuss U.S. Macroeconomic Policy: Steps Toward Recovery, at the University of Michigan on Thursday, October 22 at 4 p.m. The event, which is co-sponsored by the Department of Economics (College of Literature, Science, and the Arts) and the U-M Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, will be held in Annenberg Auditorium, 1120 Weill Hall. It is free and open to the public.
The panelists include: Peter Borish, chairman and CEO, Computer Trading Corp.; Charles L. Evans, president, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago; Matthew D. Shapiro, Lawrence R. Klein Collegiate Professor of Economics and research professor, Institute for Social Research, University of Michigan; Allen Sinai, chief global economist, president and co-founder, Decision Economics, Inc.
Susan M. Collins, Joan and Sanford Weill Dean of Public Policy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a professor of public policy and economics, University of Michigan, will serve as moderator.
