Primarily interested in health-related outcomes, her current research includes studies on how watching smoking and drinking in movies might influence viewers' own smoking and drinking behavior.

Professor Dal Cin's work has appeared at national and international conferences, and in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Health Education Research, Health Psychology, Psychological Science, and Tobacco Control.
