Research interests: Mesoamerica and the Central Andes; regional studies, land use, cultural ecology; archaeological ethnography
Much of my time after my retirement in 2006 has been spent in writing up data monographs from previous field projects in Mexico and Peru. I also attend several professional meetings each year in the U.S., Mexico, and Peru, and usually spend 2 or 3 weeks each year doing lab work in Mexico and Peru, mainly working with collections stored there. I am also compiling a large database of scanned photographic images from fieldwork in Mexico and Peru 1961–2003, now roughly half completed.
