23. Monte Albán's Hinterland, Part II: Prehispanic Settlement Patterns in Tlacolula, Etla, and Ocotlan, the Valley of Oaxaca, Mexico
Author(s): Stephen Kowalewski, Gary Feinman, Laura Finsten, Richard Blanton, Linda Nicholas
Published in 1989, but out of print for years, this often requested memoir has been digitized and is now available on a CD-ROM. This two-volume monograph is the final report and synthesis of the Valley of Oaxaca Settlement Pattern Project's full-coverage surface survey, and makes significant theoretical and methodological contributions to the investigation of social evolution, cultural ecology, and regional analysis. Chapters covering each time period include detailed descriptions and analyses; CD also contains 9 appendices, a synopsis in Spanish, and settlement pattern maps.
