Public Programs

The Museum hosts over 100,000 visitors each year. There are a wide variety of activities throughout the year.

Public Planetarium shows (seasonal star talks and astronomy-related topics) are offered on weekends.

Special programs include dinosaur- and space-themed birthday parties, free dinosaur tours every weekend, free weekend demonstrations, summer camp, scout programs, and collaboration with local libraries.

Annual events include ID Day, Discovery Days, and the family Halloween Party.

Annual theme semesters feature related exhibits and special events, lectures by distinguished faculty and visitors, and more.

New exhibits open periodically in the Fourth Floor Gallery and the Rotunda lobby.

Discovery Guides help focus self-guided exploration of the galleries.
