Abe  Weiner  : Reptiles & Amphibians

<< See all the student visitors

Abe is a volunteer in the Herp Division learning to prepare specimens for the collection and a little about herpetology and anatomy.

Abe Weiner, Community High School volunteer in the Herp Division, is pictured here preparing a snake skeleton of Nerodia sipedon (Northern Water Snake) which died in a presribed burn area at a local metro park. Pictured in the background is Dr. Mark Wilkinson, head of the Vertebrate Section of the British Museum (Natural History), reminiscing about fond times preparing specimens for the UMMZ Herpetology Division as a student in 1985.
