Austin Stebbins

UM Undergraduate, Austin Stebbins, has begun a morphological study of the mammalian skull.  Austin is preparing to examine a wide variety of mammalian species as part of a research project with his mentor, Dr. Geoff Gerstner of the Michigan School of Dentistry.  As part of their research, Austin will utilize the specimens within the UMMZ Mammal Division collection to obtain a large portion of their data.  In total, Austin will examine nearly 240 specimens, encompassing most of the diversity within mammals.
