Adaptive radiation in diverse groups of fishes.

Sam Borstein

Sam Borstein is a graduate student at University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Darrin Hulsey’s lab. Sam’s research interests focus on the functional morphology of fishes as well as how ecological opportunity shapes morphological diversity in adaptive radiations of ray-finned fishes.

Sam examined and digitally imaged cichlids, Lake Baikal sculpins and representatives of sefveral other taxonomic groups during his visit to the fish collections at the Varsity Drive facility.  He described his visit as “extremely productive.”
