Admissions Cycle

UROP's admission cycle for the 2008-2009 academic year will begin in March 2008.

CURRENT UM STUDENTS

March 1:  Students currently attending classes at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor campus ONLY:

To participate in UROP for the first time:
If you are currently taking classes as a first year student on the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus and Fall 2008 will be your second year enrolled at UM  

To re-apply to UROP for a second year experience:

If you participated in UROP for the first time during the 2007-2008 academic year  and 

Fall 2008 will be your second year enrolled at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus.

March 1: On-line application available   

March 25: Application Priority Deadline

April 1: Admissions Notification

April 18 Acceptance Deadline  

JUNIOR-SENIOR PROGRAM

March 1:   On-line application available

March 25: Application Priority Deadline

March 26: Admissions Notification

April 18:  Acceptance Deadline   

HIGH SCHOOL AND TRANFER STUDENTS

May 1:  On-Line Application available. All incoming first year students and new transfer students who will be enrolled for the first time at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus (first semester at UM will be Spring/Summer 2008 or Fall 2008) and have paid their enrollment deposit will be mailed an invitation to apply to UROP in early May.  

June 13: Application priority deadline for enrollment in the Fall 2008 academic term.   

June 15: Admissions Notification:  Notice of admission will be mailed to the permanent address given on the application form by early June/early July.

August 1:  Acceptance Deadline:  Students must formally accept their offer of admissions to UROP by completing an on-line Acceptance Form available on the UROP website and as noted in the Admissions notification letter. Failure to accept your placement by August 1 may jeopardize your ability to participate in Fall term.

LATE APPLICATIONS

Applications to any UROP program received after the priority deadline will be given careful consideration. Admissions will be made on a rolling basis as space permits.
