UROP Summer Fellowship Information Sessions

List A Project

It is easy to list a project with UROP!

Application Timeline For Projects:
Fall term project start working through Winter Terms: the application cycle is May through mid-September.
Winter Term start: applications accepted October through December.

Application Requirements:

The application requires the following information:

  1. A description of the larger project including the overall purpose of your research and the research methods and objectives you use to investigate your research question(s).
  2. Student tasks and responsibilities: what the student will be doing to assist you on the project.  Note:  students should be given a variety of work of increasing responsibility and  difficulty as the year progresses.
  3. Required student qualifications:  classes, characteristics, basic skills the student should have as a minimum to apply.
  4. Hours student is required or needed to work per week
  5. Number of students desired
  6. Preferred methods to contact you
  7. Day to day supervisor information (if other than yourself)

List a New Project or Renew A Project  for 2009-2010

UROP is now accepting new project/sponsor applications and requests to renew projects for the 2009-2010 academic year, with a start date of September 2009.

To list a new project, renew a previous project and/or to cancel a project, complete this application:

For non UM sponsors and community partners:
 To list a new project or renew a previous project, first set up a UM Friend Account.

 Then, login to our Research Sponsor Application Form using your new Friend Account.

Spring/Summer: Research support for student assistants from May through August is available only through our UROP Summer Research Fellowships. These fellowships are competitive and require the student to submit a comprehensive application. Read More about UROP Summer Research Fellowships.
