News for Current Students: Fall 2008!
*The UROP Fall 2008 Learning Agreement Contract Final deadline has been extended to Wednesday, November 5. Students currently without projects are advised to continuing searching for projects and to work closely with their UROP Peer Advisor and UROP staff to identify projects.
*The SPSS workshops scheduled for November 10 & November 16 have been cancelled. They will be rescheduled for January.
*UROP will be offering a series of information sessions about our Summer Research Fellowships to begin at the end of October. Read more about UROP Summer Research Fellowships: Information Sessions
*Present your Research: UROP students have a unique opportunity to present their research at NCUR, a conference specifically for undergraduate student researchers. The 2009 NCUR conference will take place April 16 - 18 at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse campus. Students can apply to give an oral or poster presentation. UROP will provide travel funding to students who are accepted to present. The application requires a research abstract and the approval of your research sponsor. *UROP seeks applications for our new UROP Student Advisory Committee. Student members will guide UROP as we make decisions about new programs, evaluate existing program activities, and plan for student recruitment. If you would like to influence UROP, apply now. Send us your resume and a one page statement discussing why you want to serve on the committee , suggest some ideas about ways to improve UROP, and comment on why you are participating in UROP and what your experience has been.
