Call for Abstracts

This year's research showcase events are:

UROP Junior Senior Program and Research Scholars Spring Forum

     Wednesday, March 26, 2008       5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

UROP Spring Research Symposium     

     Wednesday, April  16, 2008      3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

UROP Students must apply to present their research at one of these events.  Only students currently participating in UROP will be accepted to present their research at this Symposium.

Poster Presentations: 

Students participating in the Spring Research Symposium will present a poster of their research findings. Students should attend one of the UROP Poster Workshops to learn how to give an effective poster presentation and how to make a professional looking poster.  Poster materials will be provided to UROP students beginning the week of March 10.

Research Scholars and Junior Senior Program students will present posters or apply to give an oral presentation.

Oral Presentations:

Research Scholars or Junior Senior Program students may apply to give an oral presentation at the Research Forum event on March 26. These applications will be reviewed by a committee and four students will be selected on the strength of their abstract.  Students selected to give an oral presentation will be required to attend a special session in advance of the Research Forum to prepare for a professional quality presentation.  Students not selected to give oral presentations should plan to give a poster presentation. 

Registering to Present for the Spring Research Symposium: 

Students should now register in the UROP Office.
