Celebrating Tagore: Translations through Music, Dance, and Poetry

This event will feature performers from the School of Music, Theatre & Dance at the University of Michigan, as well as classical Indian dancers and vocalists in a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore’s birth. It is also a hallmark event of theFall 2012 Translation Theme Semester in the College of Literature, Science, and Arts at U-M.
The program will be introduced by Amitav Ghosh, Zell Distinguished International Writer in Residence.
