Jeremy grew up in Maryland and received a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy at Yale. At Michigan, he's grown interested in value questions in epistemology, responses to various brands of skepticism, and John Dewey's pragmatist ethics. His dissertation attempts to defend the claims that epistemology still needs a notion of full belief (and can't get by only with credences), and that knowledge has a distinctive epistemic value above and beyond true belief.
Jeremy's favorite parts of Ann Arbor (outside the philosophy department) are the Barton Nature Area, the Arboretum, the Sunday Morning fountain, and his kitchen.
