Marin graduated from The University of Toronto with a B.A. in Russian Language and Literature and Psychology. She is interested in 19th and 20th century Russian and Jewish-Russian literature, especially poetry. More broadly, her interests include prosody, Jewish identity, Russian and Soviet cinema, and the expression of "femininity" in literature. She is a Flamenco enthusiast, aspiring pool shark, and has a soft spot for the 18th century
