As the temperature drops this December, anticipation heightens for the Semester in Detroit Winter 2013 Semester—and the 40th Annual Noel Night, of course! All U-M students are welcome to get wrapped up in the Noel Night excitement as hundreds of Detroiters gather on Saturday, December 1st for a night of free fun and winter cheer.
Throughout the illuminated streets of Midtown, Noel Night Visitors will enjoy special performances from local arts groups, horse-drawn carriage rides, and special promotions from local businesses and organizations, including free admission to the newly-remodeled Detroit Historical Museum, the celebrated Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
At 3:30pm on Saturday afternoon, students will depart from University of Michigan Ann Arbor Central Campus for the University of Michigan Detroit Center. There, Noel Night activities will include a tour of the Detroit Center, complimentary refreshments, a Midtown Detroit scavenger hunt, crafts and arts performances.
