  • About

Feroz Hassan's dissertation project examines the film theories of André Bazin and Eric Rohmer in their historical context. Its emphasis is on their engagement with contemporaneous questions in political and moral philosophy and currents of Catholic thought in postwar France. It aims to demonstrate their triangulation of the aesthetic with the political and the moral, against hierarchical models that privilege one or the other.
