    Peggy McCracken is Professor of French and Women's Studies and Associate Dean for Academic Initiatives at Rackham Graduate School. Her work is broadly focused on gender and sexuality in medieval literature and culture.  She is the author of The Curse of Eve, the Wound of the Hero: Blood, Gender, and Medieval Literature (2003), The Romance of Adultery: Queenship and Sexual Transgression in Old French Literature (1998), and coeditor of Constructing Medieval Sexuality (1997), and, with Basil Dufallo, Dead Lovers: Erotic Bonds and the Study of Premodern Europe (2006).
