    Peggy McCracken is Domna C. Stanton Collegiate Professor of French, Women’s Studies, and Comparative Literature. She has published several books on gender and sexuality in medieval literature and culture, and her most recent books focus on a medieval saint's life based on the life of the Buddha. She is currently completing a book on sovereignty, intimacy, and the human, focusing on medieval literature and drawing on posthumanist and critical animal theory.
