Professor Esposito teaches contemporary philosophy at the Italian Institute for the Human Sciences in Naples and is known for his work on biopolitics and political theory. His most famous books, Communitas: The Origin and Destiny of Community (Stanford University Press, 2009) and Bios: Biopolitics and Philosophy (University of Minnesota Press, 2008) have both been translated to English by Professor Timothy Campbell (Cornell University).
