Pre-register at (734) 764-0480. This free hour-long, family workshop for children ages 6-11 accompanied by an adult is part of the U-M Museum of Natural History’s Family Reading and Science Program.  This year’s theme is Predators and Prey: The Eternal Struggle. Have humans always been apex predators? The giant mammals of the ice age not only had to worry about the climate but there was a new contender for apex predator status--humans. In this workshop we will examine the rise and fall of the megafauna and human’s emerging role as apex predator.
