• About

  Professor Campbell is interested in how policies change from agenda-setting through implementation, and on the relationship between politics and substantive public policy. He works mostly on Japan, often in comparative perspective, these days mainly about social policy including health care and Japan’s new public, mandatory long-term-care insurance system. Other interests include the auto industry, US-Japan relations, and organization theory.
