RLL Welcomes Alumnus Peter Canzano to Campus!
Ann Arbor, MI – RLL is very pleased to welcome Peter Canzano as the guest speaker at the Spring Reception for Graduating Majors in RLL on Friday May 3, 2013.
Peter Canzano graduated in 1978 with a concentration in Spanish language and literature, as well as substantial coursework in French and Italian language and literature. He wrote his honors thesis on the use of metaphor in literatura gauchesca. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1981.
Currently, Peter is a partner in the Washington office of the international law firm of Sidley Austin LLP, where his practice centers on government and public finance. Through his 2009 gift to RLL, the Peter Canzano Study Abroad Scholarship was first offered to students in summer 2012.
The annual spring reception is an opportunity for RLL to honor its graduating students in front of their families and peers. The award ceremony will be held 3-4pm in 1400 Auditorium 4 on the 1st floor of the Modern Languages Building on Friday May 3rd, followed by a reception, 4-5pm, in the Vandenberg Room, 2nd floor of the Michigan League.
