• About

  Dawn earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (with a specialization in family psychology and a minor in Special Populations and Diversity) from Texas Woman's University in 2004.  Dawn also has her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University and a B.A in Psychology from North Texas State University.   Dawn has served as an adjunct instructor for eight years at both the university and community college levels where she has developed and delivered on-line courses.   Dawn also has served as a CAPS counselor in comprehensive counseling centers at several universities where she conducted academic advising, pre-health advising, international student advising, career counseling, conflict resolution and mediation, intern supervision and training, and personal and psychological counseling.  She also developed and delivered orientation, peer mentoring, and domestic violence prevention programs as well as a successful retention program aimed at Latina women.  Dawn has a strong research background in statistical analysis and outcomes assessment.  She is a native New Yorker and is happy to be back in an area of the country where she gets to wear winter clothes.
