  Graham earned a B.A. (History and Politics) from NYU in 2005 before moving uptown to Columbia University for the Post-Baccalaureate Program in Classics. While at Columbia, Graham spent two seasons excavating at Amheida (Roman Trimithis) in Egypt’s Dakhleh Oasis, where the troves of ostraka sparked his love for papyrology. He has published a Ptolemaic petition (ZPE 176) and is currently at work on papyri from the Michigan excavations at Karanis and articles on the archives from the granary C123. Graham's dissertation examines village social relations in Roman Egypt, with a particular focus on Karanis. He is an editor of the Duke Databank of Documentary Papyrology (DDbDP), and is part of an international project to publish papyri from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, with biannual meetings in Cairo and elsewhere.
