    Vincenzo Salvatore worked extensively on the intellectual legacy of Edward Said and published two articles on the influence of Vico, Auerbach and Gramsci on Said’s thought. His research interests are in the intersections between critical theory, comparative literatures and political philosophy. He is currently focusing the power of representation and global imagination in public discourse, the debate over the role of Humanities and intellectuals in the political sphere, and the philological approach to cultural critique.
