Pratt Wins Starter Grant Award
Assistant Professor Kerri Pratt was awarded the 2014 Starter Grant Award from the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP). The award is given each year to one analytical chemistry assistant professor, within the first three years of starting that position.
She plans to use the award to augment her group's instrumentation by:
1) building an instrument to examine aerosol volatility,
2) building an instrument for measuring light absorption of particles in snow/ice samples, and
3) building an inlet for simultaneously sampling inorganic gases and particles under extreme temperatures.
