Three Chemistry graduate students have been awarded Rackham Graduate School's Distinguished Predoctoral Fellowship for 2014-2015.  The awardees are Amy Speelman, of Nicolai Lehnert’s research group; Joe Furgal, who works with Theodore Goodson III and Richard Laine;  and Jeanne Hankett of Zhan Chen’s lab.

The Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship supports outstanding doctoral students who have achieved candidacy and are actively working on dissertation research and writing. The UM Rackham Graduate School awards the fellowship to students working on dissertations that are "unusually creative, ambitious and risk-taking."
