Stephanie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Dance. She furthered her
interest in organic chemistry research earning a Ph.D. in Chemistry
from the University of Michigan.  While at U-M, she served as a GSI in
the Department of Chemistry. Stephanie was a double post-doctoral
research fellow, first at the Life Sciences Institute and Howard
Hughes Medical Institute at U-M and later in the Department of
Medicinal Chemistry in the College of Pharmacy at U-M. She has
authored several peer-reviewed articles detailing her research in the
fields of carbohydrate chemistry (her favorite!), synthetic chemistry,
blood cell development, and enzymology; taught as an adjunct
instructor in chemistry at Washtenaw Community College, and has been
advising Michigan students full-time since 2010. Stephanie enjoys
learning about students’ unique research ideas and experiences.  She
strives to develop in her students purposeful decision making and
    strong self-reflective skills.

In her role as a Pre-Health Academic Advisor, Stephanie works with
Honors students and Honors alumni who are seeking a career in a health
