    Dow Chemical and Habitat for Humanity are seeking environment students to help with a Huron Valley sustainable home revitalization project between September 16-17.

    What: Work alongside Dow Chemical employees and Habitat for Humanity to refurbish a house with sustainable products and materials. 

    Why:  During this opportunity, students will

    • apply their interests in sustainability 
    • test their understanding of sustainable concepts, 
    • see how sustainability is used in business and non-profits
    • work alongside Dow Chemical employees and other UM students
    • lunch provided

    WHO: This volunteer opportunity is ideal for University of Michigan students, especially PitE students, interested in sustainability. Students in SNRE, Erb, Dow Sustainability Fellows, Graham Scholars, and Planet Blue Ambassadors have also been invited to attend.

    BONUS: Working alongside Dow Chemical employees provides a half day of networking experience. These employees have a passion for sustainability, U-M, and the community, and are willing to talk with students about sustainable business throughout this 2-day project.

    How do I get there: Free transportation will be provided. Be sure to indicate that you need a ride on the registration form.  You will be e-mailed more information regarding pick-up location and time once your participation is confirmed.
